Fort Lauderdale Top Dental Implants, Provided by Implant Dentist Dr. LaSalle, DMD

Significant gains have been made in the field of implant dentistry since its early beginnings, which can be traced back to the time of the Mayans—roughly 600 AD—when pieces of shell were used to hold teeth in place (US National Library of Medicine). Thankfully dentists now use titanium posts to secure dentures which are far more biocompatible, comfortable, and more effective than implant predecessors!Dental Implants in Fort Lauderdale, FL

What We Offer

Our Fort Lauderdale implant dentist works closely with our patients to craft a custom treatment plan based on patient needs and other qualifying factors such as bone mass and overall dental health. Our offerings include single dental implants, multiple dental implants, and implant supported dentures for a full arch replacement.

Reasons for dental implants:

•Replace one or more missing teeth without affecting adjacent teeth.
•Resolve joint pain or bite problems caused by teeth shifting into missing tooth space.
•Restore bite capacity
•Implants can resolve the look of sunken cheeks where teeth are missing

How They Work

Small titanium screws are surgically placed in the same location where the natural root was within the jawbone. After a healing period during which the titanium fuses to the bone—a process known as osseointegration—the titanium posts are fitted with an abutment and the new crown or dentures can be attached.

Why Use Titanium for Dental Implants?

Titanium offers multiple benefits to implant patients – it is biocompatible which means the surrounding bone and tissue accepts the new material and heals tightly around it, removing bacterial pockets and discouraging re-infection.

The material is also extremely durable and strong, providing the denture patient with the ability to once again bite / chew normally. And because the posts are embedded within the gum, dentures and crowns can be fitted flush to the gum line. Not only does this mean greater comfort for the patient, but it also means less space for food and plaque to become trapped.

Dental implants are also long-lasting and can provide many years of reliable dental function. Easy to clean, implants help improve our patients’ self-esteem and their quality of life. Our Fort Lauderdale implant patients have expressed their appreciation for implants and we often hear phrases such as “I should have done this sooner!”
